Abstract: In this talk, Mr. Parekh will discuss the Startup Culture in India, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Consulting as a gateway into Entrepreneurship. What is the current state of the startup culture in India? How important is it for a startup to have a clearly defined company culture?? What is the process of a successful merger and acquisition? What are some challenges that companies face during an M&A and how do they overcome them? What are some common mistakes that entrepreneurs make when seeking funding or investment for their startups? What have been some of the biggest lessons to learn from a career in consulting?
Speaker: Mr. Paresh Parekh is a Senior Partner with Ernst & Young, India. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 23 years of experience. He leads the National Practice for Retail & Consumer Sector- Tax & Regulatory. Mr. Pareskh has also advised major Indian companies and business houses in restructuring their operations and structuring their expansion and funding plans. He has contributed to various thought leadership material in leading business dailies and has also addressed various seminars including those organized by IFA, BCAS, ICAI, UKIBC, USIBC, CommonWealth Asia Alliance and FICCI.
