Quick Cupids

Do you want to network, form connections (for placements and internships), and most importantly - make new friends from other colleges, but don’t know who to approach and how? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! Get networking, quickly and with the right people with quick cupids!

Objective:

Participants will be required to select their interests from a pre-determined set (like consulting , IB, grad school options, academia etc.) and then be assigned a glow band corresponding to the same, similar to a speed dating format. The glow bands on the participants' wrists act as identifiers of their interests (and you can approach them to talk about internships and placements, and who knows, you might actually secure one). Participants are free to interact with other participants with either similar interests or completely different ones! A list of ice-breaker questions will be shared with each participant, along with snacks and drinks!

Example:

We have different categories such as consulting, graduate school, finance, investment banking, academia, economic philosophy, etc. Each of them is assigned a different color glow band, say consulting has green. People with green bands can then freely interact with each other, knowing they are passionate about the same topics.

Date:

31st March 2023 and 1st April 2023

Structure:

Slot 1:

Friday 5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. - Assignment of glow-bands

Friday 5:30 - 6p.m. - Icebreaker game

Friday 6p.m. - 7 p.m. - Interaction of the participants with each other

Slot 2:

Saturday 12:00-12:30 p.m. - Assignment of glow-bands

Saturday 12:30 p.m. - 1 p.m. - Ice-breaker game

Saturday 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. - Participants interact with each other

Guidelines:

The event is fully offline.

Participants can sign up till 30th March. We will also take walk-ins.

Participants are required to show up on time.

Please be mindful of others' boundaries.

Interact with other participants with utmost respect and politeness.

Any form of harassment or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.

Amendments: The organizers reserve the right to amend the rules and regulations of the competition at any time and will notify the participants of any such amendments.

By participating in the competition, all participants agree to abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the organizers.
