QUICK CUPIDS

Quick Cupids provides attendees with a platform to dive into stimulating, dynamic discussions with their peers. This gathering facilitates networking opportunities, connecting students, scholars, and professionals within the field in a unique speed-dating format. Participants will further be matched with a diverse array of peers based on their interests and will interact with them through a series of creative ice-breakers ultimately forming valuable friendships and connections. Quick Cupids is an opportunity for passionate individuals to discuss, connect, and learn in a laid-back setting. Attendees of the quick cupids event will be seated in small groups of 5-7 people on a table. Each table will have a different prompt that allows participants to introduce themselves in a creative manner, such as, what would your therapist say about you? The tables will be switched every 7 minutes. Once the participants are familiarised with each other, we invite them to pick glow bands based on the categories they are interested in (research, academia, just making friends, potentially interested in economics, interdisciplinary academic interests, internships). The glow bands on the participants' wrists act as identifiers of their interests, making it easier to form connections. Participants are free to interact with people with either similar interests or completely different ones!
